Celebrating the wild Summer Movie season full of amazing blockbuster movies (like The Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises), developer Paragon Studios thought it'd be fun to have a movie-inspired event.
This concept event even offers players a digital movie theater lobby as they wait, where they can view the winning submissions from the poster contest that players created for the event.
The meat of the event are two different "movies" for players to take part in, these are called "Time Gladiator" and "Casino Heist". The former is a fight-to-the-death in a Roman coliseum; the second offers a botched casino robbery with tough security forces standing in your way.
Different hooks for each movie come in the form of different mechanics, with Time Gladiator featuring a favor meter you must fill in order to unlock a bonus stage. Casino Heist meanwhile features teams divided into special roles.
In order to take part in this event players must be Level 15 or higher. Complete both movie events and you'll gain a new Universal Damage IO Enhancement to add to your arsenal, with one enhancement earned every 20 hours.
